NPL: Sudurpashchim secures third straight win; Karnali defeated by 45 runs

KATHMANDU: Sudurpashchim Royals has extended their unbeaten run in Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2 after captain Dipendra Singh Airee’s impressive bowling performance led the team to a 45-run victory over Karnali Yaks on Monday.

In the second match of the day at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Karnali Yaks won the toss and opted to chase a 140-run target. Their batting lineup, however, faltered as Sudurpashchim bowled them out for 94 runs in 19 overs.

With this result, Sudurpashchim has secured its third consecutive win, having already defeated Pokhara Avengers and Kathmandu Gorkhas.

Karnali Yaks have now suffered two defeats in their last three games. They had previously beaten Lumbini Lions but lost to Chitwan Rhinos before today’s match.
