Three people die in separate road accidents



KATHMANDU: Three people lost their lives in separate road accidents reported in Kathmandu, Morang, and Kapilvastu on Sunday.

In Kathmandu, 41-year-old Surendra of Bhaktapur Municipality-10 died after being run over by a bus (Ba 3 Kha 7387) at Koteshwor Chowk. According to police, he fell from the moving bus and was subsequently crushed under its wheels. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital. Police have taken the bus driver into custody.

In Morang, a motorcycle (Sa 3 Pa 8845) went out of control and crashed at Budhiganga Rural Municipality-5, killing its rider, 19-year-old Suraj Nuniya of Rajbiraj Municipality-1. He sustained serious injuries and died during treatment at Birat Teaching Hospital, Gangachowk.

In Kapilvastu, 42-year-old Pitambar Loniya of Jhandenagar, Kapilvastu Municipality-3, died on the spot when a thresher (Lu 3 Ta 5950) met with an accident at Laxminagar in Krishnanagar Municipality-3. Police have taken the thresher driver into custody and are investigating the incident.
