Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced today’s foreign currency exchange rates. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one U.S. dollar has been set at Rs 140.25 and the selling rate at Rs 140.85.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one euro have been fixed at Rs 162.56 and Rs 163.26 respectively, while one pound sterling stands at Rs 187.14 (buying) and Rs 187.94 (selling). The Swiss franc is trading at Rs 175.66 for buying and Rs 176.42 for selling.

The Australian dollar’s buying and selling rates are Rs 91.23 and Rs 91.62, the Canadian dollar Rs 100.20 and Rs 100.63, and the Singapore dollar Rs 107.90 and Rs 108.36 respectively.

Similarly, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.18 and the selling rate is Rs 9.22. One Chinese yuan trades at Rs 19.69 (buying) and Rs 19.77 (selling), one Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs 37.39 and Rs 37.55, and one Qatari riyal at Rs 38.48 and Rs 38.64.

According to NRB, one Thai baht trades at Rs 4.28 (buying) and Rs 4.29 (selling), while one UAE dirham is at Rs 38.18 and Rs 38.35. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 33.16 and Rs 33.31, 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.74 and Rs 9.78, and one Swedish krona at Rs 14.89 and Rs 14.95. One Danish krone is trading at Rs 21.76 (buying) and Rs 21.86 (selling).

The central bank has also fixed the rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.05 (buying) and Rs 18.12 (selling), one Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 457.39 and Rs 459.35, one Bahraini dinar at Rs 372.04 and Rs 373.63, and one Omani rial at Rs 364.27 and Rs 365.83. One hundred Indian rupees are valued at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

NRB stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision as needed, and commercial banks may post slightly different rates. Updated figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
