Nepal’s Permanent Representative to UN attending 80th UNGA

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Lok Bahadur Thapa, is representing the government in the 80th UN General Assembly, New York.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Permanent Representative Thapa will be attending the UNGA citing impossibility for a high-level delegation from the government of Nepal owing to adverse situation in the country.

The panel discussion of the 80th UNGA has begun at the UN Headquarters, New York, from September 23.

Meanwhile, the Ministry asked Nepali Ambassadors in the concerned countries about their official information if they have stopped issuance of visit visa for the Nepalis in light of unfolding situation in Nepal.

Ministry Spokesperson Lok Bahadur Poudel Chhetri shared that the Ministry in presence of concerned officials held a discussion on how the visit visa could be systematized over the questions raised on Nepalis’ travel to various countries on visit visa.
