KATHMANDU: The government has clarified that it is undertaking a realignment of staff positions in agencies facing heavy workloads to ensure effective service delivery.
The decision, initially made at a secretary’s meeting on September 16, had caused some confusion. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated that additional positions will be provided to agencies struggling with workload pressures.
According to Dr. Bhishmakumar Bhusal, Undersecretary at the PMO, the secretaries’ meeting decided on the staff realignment to address difficulties in service delivery in overburdened agencies. He emphasized that the adjustment will not affect the professional development of employees.
To clarify earlier ambiguities, the PMO sent a formal communication to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration on Tuesday.
This move aims to streamline services and enhance efficiency in government bodies where staff shortages have been hampering operations.
