Ruling coalition holds meeting at Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Leaders of the ruling coalition parties are currently holding a meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The meeting comes ahead of Tuesday’s House of Representatives session, where the government plans to pass the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year.

To ensure its approval, major ruling parties, including the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress, issued a whip on Monday instructing their lawmakers to vote in favor of the bill.

Present at the meeting are Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Janamat Party Chair Dr. CK Raut, Nagarik Unmukti Party Chair Ranjita Shrestha, and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Chair Mahantha Thakur, among others.

The ruling alliance is expected to finalize its strategy for securing budget approval during the ongoing meeting.
