HoR set to pass Appropriation Bill 2082 today



KATHMANDU: The Appropriation Bill, 2082 is scheduled to be passed by the House of Representatives today. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel is expected to present a proposal for its passage during the parliamentary session scheduled for 11 a.m.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Finance Minister Poudel will also present proposals to consider the Economic Bill, 2082 and the National Debt Recovery Bill, 2082 during the same session.

Prior to this, the House will hold discussions on budget allocations and expenditures related to several key ministries and offices.

These include the Ministries of Labor, Employment and Social Security; Home Affairs; Communications and Information Technology; Finance; Urban Development; and the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, along with the National Planning Commission, Office of the President, and the Office of the Vice President. Relevant ministers will respond to questions raised during these discussions.

The session will also deliberate on various expenditure cut proposals submitted by Members of Parliament, including Amresh Kumar Singh, Prabhu Sah, Durga Rai, Prem Suwal, Amanlal Modi, Janardan Sharma, Bimala Subedi, Rekha Sharma, Chitra Bahadur KC, Shakti Bahadur KC, Hitraj Pandey, Ram Kumar Rai, Devendra Poudel, Madhav Sapkota, Ranendra Barali, Gyanu Basnet, Urmila Majhi, Ammar Bahadur Thapa, Chhiringlhamu Lama (Tamang), Narayani Sharma, Ganga Karki, and Lekhnath Dahal.
