ANNFSU begins delegate selection for 24th National Convention

KATHMANDU: The All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU), the student wing of the CPN-UML, is set to hold its 24th National Convention from June 8 to 11 in Kathmandu.

According to ANNFSU Central Spokesperson Prakash Paudel, the process of selecting representatives for the convention has officially begun nationwide from today. He stated that the selection process is being carried out in a fully democratic, transparent, and organizational manner.

This convention comes at a time when Nepal’s student politics is undergoing significant shifts, and the ANNFSU aims to strengthen its ideological and organizational foundation.

ANNFSU has adopted the slogan: “Let us link education with skills, labor, production, and employment — mobilize student power for prosperity to end social disorder and growing youth migration.”

The slogan reflects the union’s focus on tackling pressing national issues such as unemployment, brain drain, and social instability, while emphasizing the role of students in national development.

The ANNFSU has also appealed to all its members, students, and well-wishers to actively support and express solidarity in making the representative selection process a success.

As one of Nepal’s largest student organizations, ANNFSU’s convention is expected to draw wide attention, particularly in setting the future direction of student activism aligned with the CPN-UML’s broader political strategy.
