Two Nepalis stranded in Cambodia repatriated

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in Thailand has rescued and brought home two Nepali citizens—a man and a woman—who had been stranded in Cambodia for an extended period. They arrived in Nepal on Friday.

The Embassy has again urged prospective migrant workers to travel abroad only after obtaining an official labour permit and to avoid seeking quick, high-paying jobs in countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand outside the government’s guidelines.

It has also called on the media and civil society to help disseminate this advisory.
