Pedestrian injured in motorcycle collision dies



KATHMANDU: A pedestrian, estimated to be around 60 years old, who was injured in a motorcycle collision in Kathmandu Metropolitan City–32, has died during treatment.

The victim, whose identity and address have not been withheld, sustained serious injuries in the collision late last night and died while undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Center, according to Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Valley Traffic Police Office and Superintendent of Police.

Police have taken the motorcyclist involved in the collision into custody and are conducting further investigations into the incident, Subedi said.
