Nepali Congress registers party with Election Commission



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has officially registered its party with the Election Commission (EC) to participate in the upcoming National Assembly and House of Representatives elections.

According to Nepali Congress Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel, the party registration application was submitted at 11 am today (Sunday).

“As per the party’s decision, we have registered to contest both the National Assembly and House of Representatives elections,” he stated

The National Assembly elections are scheduled for January 25, while the House of Representatives elections will be held on March 5, 2026.

The Election Commission had set the registration deadline for parties participating in the National Assembly elections as today, and parties can register until November 26 for the House of Representatives elections.
