NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign currency exchange rates for Sunday.

As per the updated rates, one US dollar is being bought at Rs 142.88 and sold at Rs 143.48. The buying rate for one European Euro stands at Rs 164.61 and the selling rate at Rs 165.30, while one UK Pound Sterling is being bought at Rs 186.61 and sold at Rs 187.39. Similarly, the Swiss Franc is priced at Rs 177.22 for buying and Rs 177.96 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian Dollar is being bought at Rs 91.99 and sold at Rs 92.38, the Canadian Dollar at Rs 101.40 and Rs 101.82, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 109.22 and Rs 109.68, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is Rs 9.11 and the selling rate is Rs 9.15. One Chinese Yuan is being bought at Rs 20.09 and sold at Rs 20.18. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is priced at Rs 38.10 for buying and Rs 38.26 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal stands at Rs 39.20 and Rs 39.36.

Likewise, the Thai Baht is being bought at Rs 4.39 and sold at Rs 4.41, the UAE Dirham at Rs 38.90 and Rs 39.06, and the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 34.44 and Rs 34.58. The buying rate for 100 South Korean Won is Rs 9.69 and the selling rate is Rs 9.73. One Swedish Kronor is priced at Rs 14.91 (buying) and Rs 14.98 (selling), while one Danish Kroner stands at Rs 22.04 and Rs 22.13.

Nepal Rastra Bank has also fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong Dollar at Rs 18.35 and the selling rate at Rs 18.43. The Kuwaiti Dinar is being bought at Rs 465.01 and sold at Rs 466.97, the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 378.99 and Rs 380.58, and the Omani Rial at Rs 371.12 and Rs 372.68.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time if necessary. Exchange rates applied by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
