Motorcyclist dies in road accident in Tarkeshwor



KATHMANDU: A 26-year-old man died after being injured in a motorcycle accident in Tarkeshwor Municipality-3, Kathmandu, early Thursday morning.

According to Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi, the deceased has been identified as Amit Putuwar, a resident of Pusal, Tarkeshwor Municipality.

“The motorcycle (Ba. Pra. 02–053 Pa 9679) was heading from Tinpipley toward Dharmasthali when it lost control and crashed into an electric pole at around 3:45 AM,” SP Subedi said. “The rider, Amit Putuwar, who sustained serious injuries, died while undergoing treatment at City Hospital in Tarkeshwor.”

Another passenger on the motorcycle, 20-year-old Samir Putuwar of Tarkeshwor-3, sustained injuries to his hands, legs, head, and chest. He has been referred to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj for further treatment, police said.
