Sandeep Lamichhane accuses YouTube channel of attempted character assassination

KATHMANDU: Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has accused YouTube channel Paradygm TV of attempting to assassinate his character by making conspiratorial and defamatory content targeting his personal life.

Taking to Facebook, Lamichhane expressed anger over what he called a deliberate attack on his dignity and privacy. “You may choose whoever you want for your programs, but sitting on a YouTube chair and mocking someone’s life is shameful,” he wrote.

The leg-spinner directly named Paradigm TV in his post, accusing it of running a “planned and malicious campaign” against him. “The content you produced about me is entirely conspiratorial and designed to destroy my personal life, dignity, and privacy,” he said.

Lamichhane further claimed that the YouTube channel had intentionally tried to harm his mental peace and reputation for its own commercial benefit. “This is a calculated attempt to create mental pressure and exploit my innocent life and sporting career for your channel’s business interests,” he added.

Lamichhane, who has been a central figure in Nepali cricket, has often found himself in the media spotlight, both for his achievements on the field and controversies off it. However, he said such personal attacks by media outlets were unacceptable and deeply distressing.
