Landslide blocks Kaligandaki Corridor

BAGLUNG: The Baglung section of the Kaligandaki Corridor has been blocked following continuous rainfall in the region.

A landslide occurred last night at Dablyang in Baglung Municipality–10, obstructing the corridor road, which is part of a national pride project, according to Basanta Pandey, Information Officer at the District Police Office. As a result, traffic along the route has been halted since this morning.

Similarly, a section of the road at Chhahare in the Balewa area of the corridor has also been blocked due to the rains. Information Officer Pandey stated that efforts are underway in coordination with the Kaligandaki Corridor Project to clear the debris and restore traffic.

In addition to the corridor itself, the Balewa–Kushmisera road has also been completely obstructed by the landslide.
