KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against three individuals, including the accounts officer of the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet.
According to CIAA spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Paudel, the case was filed at the Special Court on charges of misappropriating funds collected at the hospital’s billing counter without depositing them in the bank.
The accused include accounts officer Shankar Prasad Subedi, contract staffer Tripti Shahi Thakuri (aka Tripti Shahi), and former in-charge of the hospital’s Kumari Bank extension counter Goma Singhali Magar.
CIAA has claimed a financial damage of Rs 2.56 million against each of the three individuals.
