UML issues whip to support appropriation bill in parliament

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has issued a whip to all its lawmakers to be present in the House and vote in favor of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2025/26.

Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula issued the directive on behalf of the UML Parliamentary Party, mandating all members to attend Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives and support the bill.

The Appropriation Bill, tabled by the government on May 29, is scheduled to be presented for a decision in Tuesday’s session of the House.

The bill outlines budget allocations for the upcoming fiscal year, and its passage is crucial for the implementation of the government’s financial plans. UML’s whip signals its intent to fully back the budget proposal and ensure party discipline during the vote.
