Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Monday).

The value of the US dollar has remained stable, while the exchange rates for several other foreign currencies have fluctuated. Some currencies, such as the euro and the Kuwaiti dinar, have seen an increase in value, whereas others, including the Australian dollar, the British pound, and the Bahraini dinar, have decreased.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar today is NPR 138.24, and the selling rate is NPR 138.84. These rates are unchanged from yesterday.

As for the euro, today’s buying rate is NPR 159.29 and the selling rate is NPR 159.98, slightly up from yesterday’s rates of NPR 159.20 (buying) and NPR 159.89 (selling).

The British pound has declined, with a buying rate of NPR 185.93 and a selling rate of NPR 186.74, compared to yesterday’s NPR 186.51 and NPR 187.32, respectively.

Similarly, the Australian dollar has also depreciated. Today’s buying rate is NPR 89.17 and the selling rate is NPR 89.56, down from yesterday’s NPR 89.64 (buying) and NPR 90.03 (selling).

In contrast, the Kuwaiti dinar has appreciated slightly, with a buying rate of NPR 451.54 and a selling rate of NPR 453.50, up from NPR 451.40 and NPR 453.36, respectively.

The Bahraini dinar, however, has declined, with today’s buying rate at NPR 366.30 and the selling rate at NPR 367.89, compared to yesterday’s NPR 366.54 and NPR 368.13.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these exchange rates are subject to change at any time as needed. Additionally, the exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the most up-to-date rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
