Pokhara Airport: PAC refers report to CIAA

KATHMANDU: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Federal Parliament has forwarded a report to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), outlining findings related to alleged corruption in the construction of Pokhara International Airport.

Following a committee meeting held on Wednesday, the report—along with the committee’s official decision—was submitted to the CIAA on Friday.

Subcommittee coordinator and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden stated that the final report included only minor corrections and language refinements to the version initially prepared by the subcommittee.

The committee had earlier resolved to refer the subcommittee’s report to the CIAA, instructing the authority to carry out a formal investigation into the corruption allegations surrounding the airport project.
