Working to confirm possible Nepali casualties in Kashmir terror attack: Foreign Minister Rana



KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has said that the Government of Nepal is working to verify reports of Nepali casualties in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement shared on social media, Minister Rana said, “Efforts are underway to confirm the details of the loss of lives of Nepali citizens in the attack, and updates will be provided as soon as information is verified.”

While expressing deep sorrow and outrage over the incident, which claimed several innocent lives, she conveyed Nepal’s solidarity with India during this moment of grief.

“The Government of Nepal is shocked and saddened by the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam,” she wrote, condemning the act as “senseless violence.”

She extended condolences to the victims and their families, and wished for the swift recovery of those injured in the attack.

“The Government of Nepal stands in strong solidarity with the Government and people of India in this hour of grief,” her statement concluded.

The confirmation of Nepali citizens affected by the attack is still pending, with the Foreign Ministry closely monitoring developments.
