Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the latest foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, showing a modest rise in the value of the US dollar and the Bahraini dinar.

In contrast, several other currencies, including the Euro, Pound, and Australian dollar, have slightly depreciated.

Today, the US dollar is being traded at Rs 136.01 for buying and Rs 136.61 for selling, a small increase from Rs 135.91 and Rs 136.51 on Tuesday.

Notably, the dollar had reached its peak on Magh 25, when it was valued at Rs 139.83 (buying) and Rs 140.43 (selling) — the highest in Nepal’s market history.

The Euro dropped to Rs 156.23 (buying) and Rs 156.92 (selling) from Rs 156.70 and Rs 157.39 the previous day.

Similarly, the British Pound saw a minor decrease, standing at Rs 181.91 (buying) and Rs 182.72 (selling), compared to Rs 181.93 and Rs 182.73 on Tuesday.

The Australian Dollar declined to Rs 87.05 (buying) and Rs 87.43 (selling) from the earlier rates of Rs 87.27 and Rs 87.66.

On the other hand, the Kuwaiti Dinar saw a slight gain, now priced at Rs 444.86 (buying) and Rs 446.82 (selling), up from Rs 444.06 and Rs 446.02.

The Bahraini Dinar also appreciated marginally, with today’s rates at Rs 360.89 (buying) and Rs 362.48 (selling), compared to Rs 360.57 and Rs 363.16 the day before.
