Weather to remain clear in most parts of the country today

KATHMANDU: The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country, including Koshi, Bagmati, and Madhes provinces, while the rest of the country will remain clear.

However, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in one or two places in Koshi and Madhes provinces.

This is due to the partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system and local winds, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

Later this afternoon, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the remaining provinces will experience clear weather.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and in one or two places in Madhes and Gandaki provinces.

Light snowfall is also likely at a few locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Koshi province, with clear skies in the rest of the country.

Light rain with thunder and lightning is possible in one or two places in Koshi Province, along with light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous areas.
