National Assembly draws government’s attention



KATHMANDU: National Assembly chair Narayan Prasad Dahal has drawn the attention of the government to respond within seven days to the issues raised by the MPs during the emergency, zero and special hour of the Upper House.

In today’s meeting of the Assembly, chair Dahal drew the attention of the government to the effective implementation of provisions of the National Assembly Rules, 2015.

The National Assembly rules provide that the delegated legislation and public policy made by the Government should be made available to the Assembly for the purpose of distribution to the parliamentarians within 15 days of approval from the relevant body.

Message from the House of Representatives

In the meeting, Secretary of the NA, Dr Surendra Aryal, tabled the message received from the House of Representatives (HoR) regarding the ‘Prevention of Corruption (First Amendment) Bill, 2076′ and the E-Commerce Bill, 2080’ sent to the House of Representatives with the message passed by the National Assembly.

In the meeting, Chair of the Legislative Management Committee Tulasa Kumari Dahal presented the report of the committee on the ‘Nepal Bar Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081’ before the House.

The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on March 2 at 12: 15 pm.
