KP Oli Cup Championship Football kicks off today



KATHMANDU: The KP Oli Cup Championship Football tournament is beginning today in Kathmandu, organized by the National Youth Association Nepal.

The opening match, scheduled for 3 PM at the ANFA Complex, will feature Uzbekistan’s Black Bulls FC against APF FC.

Nine teams are participating in the tournament, including two foreign teams. Uzbekistan’s Black Bulls FC, winners of the Aha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup, and Bhutan’s FC Transport United are the foreign participants.

Other teams include APF FC, Sankata Club, Tribhuvan Army FC, Nepal Police Club, KP Oli FC, New Road Team, and Machhindra FC.

The final match is scheduled for March 3, with both the semi-finals and final to be held at Dasharath Stadium.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs. 15,111,111, while the runner-up will be awarded Rs. 5 lakh.

Additional prizes include Rs. 1 lakh for the best player, Rs. 50,000 each for the best goalkeeper, highest scorer, and emerging player, and Rs. 25,000 for the winning team of each match. The Player of the Match will receive Rs. 15,000.
