NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 142.54, while the selling rate stands at Rs 143.14.

The buying rate of one European euro is Rs 166.91 and the selling rate Rs 167.61. Likewise, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 190.70 and sold at Rs 191.51, while the Swiss franc is priced at Rs 179.22 for buying and Rs 179.97 for selling.

Similarly, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 94.25 and a selling rate of Rs 94.64, the Canadian dollar Rs 103.28 and Rs 103.71 respectively, and the Singapore dollar Rs 110.24 for buying and Rs 110.70 for selling.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.03 and the selling rate at Rs 9.07. One Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 20.24 for buying and Rs 20.33 for selling. The buying rate of one Saudi Arabian riyal is Rs 38.38 and the selling rate Rs 16.38, while one Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 39.39 and sold at Rs 16.39.

According to the central bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.54 and sold at Rs 4.55. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 38.81 for buying and Rs 38.97 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 34.96 and Rs 35.11 respectively.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 9.66 and the selling rate Rs 9.70. Likewise, the Swedish kronor is priced at Rs 15.38 for buying and Rs 15.44 for selling, and the Danish kronor at Rs 22.34 and Rs 22.44.

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.32 and the selling rate at Rs 18.40. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 463.94 and sold at Rs 465.89, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 378.11 for buying and Rs 379.70 for selling. The buying rate of one Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 370.23 and the selling rate at Rs 371.79. Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees is Rs 160 and the selling rate Rs 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the updated rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
