Morang enrolls 44,311 new voters



MORANG: A total of 44,311 new voters have been registered in Morang district of Koshi Province during the voter enrollment campaign launched by the Election Commission following the announcement of fresh House of Representatives elections.

These registrations were recorded between September 26 and November 21. The new election for the lower house has been announced for March 5, 2026.

According to Province Election Office information officer Tirtha Adhikari, 16,413 voters;7,716 women and 8,696 men  registered their names through the office, while an additional 27,989 registered online using their National ID details.

Similarly, 2,872 voters updated their addresses, and 671 corrected details on their voter IDs.

With these updates, the total number of registered voters in the district has risen to 786,066, up from 741,755.
