NPL: Two matches to be played today



KATHMANDU: Two matches are scheduled today under the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) in the capital.

In the first match, Karnali Yaks and Lumbini Lions will compete at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur at 11:15 am. Lumbini will be led by Rohit Paudel, while Sompal Kami will captain Karnali. Lumbini, who defeated Chitwan Rhinos in their opening match, will be aiming for their second win.

Karnali, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back after losing to Chitwan in their first outing. Similarly, Kathmandu Gorkhas and Biratnagar Kings will clash in the second match at 3:30 pm. Kathmandu, captained by Karan KC, will be playing their third match of the tournament.

They began with a victory over defending champions Janakpur Bolts but were defeated by Sudurpaschim Royals in their second match. Biratnagar, under the captaincy of Sandeep Lamichhane, will be eyeing their second straight win after a convincing victory against Pokhara Avengers in their opening match.
