NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 142.88, while the selling rate stands at Rs 143.48.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one European euro are Rs 164.61 and Rs 165.30, respectively, and for one UK pound sterling, Rs 186.61 and Rs 187.39. The buying rate for one Swiss franc is Rs 177.22, with the selling rate at Rs 177.96.

The buying and selling rates for one Australian dollar are Rs 91.99 and Rs 92.38, for one Canadian dollar Rs 101.40 and Rs 101.82, and for one Singapore dollar Rs 109.22 and Rs 109.68.

Likewise, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.11, with a selling rate of Rs 9.15, while one Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 20.09 for buying and Rs 20.18 for selling. The buying and selling rates for one Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 38.10 and Rs 38.26, and for one Qatari riyal Rs 39.20 and Rs 39.36.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, one Thai baht buys at Rs 4.39 and sells at Rs 4.41, one UAE dirham at Rs 38.90 and Rs 39.06, one Malaysian ringgit at Rs 34.44 and Rs 34.58, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.69 and Rs 9.73. The buying and selling rates for one Swedish kronor stand at Rs 14.91 and Rs 14.98, while the Danish kronor trades at Rs 22.04 and Rs 22.13.

The bank has also set the buying and selling rates for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.35 and Rs 18.43, for one Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 465.01 and Rs 466.97, for one Bahraini dinar at Rs 378.99 and Rs 380.58, and for one Omani rial at Rs 371.12 and Rs 372.68. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, with the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time as needed. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
