Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has released the official foreign exchange rates for today. While the US dollar remains stable, the value of the Euro and the British Pound Sterling has declined slightly.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is fixed at Rs 140.39 and the selling rate at Rs 140.99. The European Euro is being bought at Rs 163.13 and sold at Rs 163.83, while the UK Pound Sterling is being bought at Rs 187.98 and sold at Rs 188.79. The buying rate for the Swiss Franc is Rs 176.72 and the selling rate is Rs 177.48.

Among other currencies, the Australian dollar is trading at Rs 91.18 for buying and Rs 91.57 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 99.96 for buying and Rs 100.39 for selling, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 108.25 for buying and Rs 108.71 for selling.

In the Asian currency market, the Japanese yen is being traded at Rs 9.24 for buying and Rs 9.28 for selling, while the Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 19.72 for buying and Rs 19.81 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being traded at Rs 37.43 for buying and Rs 37.59 for selling, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 38.51 for buying and Rs 38.68 for selling.

The buying rate of the Thai baht stands at Rs 4.29 and the selling rate at Rs 4.31. The UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 38.22 and sold at Rs 38.39. The Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 33.20 for buying and Rs 33.34 for selling, while the South Korean won is priced at Rs 9.81 for buying and Rs 9.86 for selling.

Similarly, the Swedish kronor is being bought at Rs 14.91 and sold at Rs 14.98, while the Danish kronor is fixed at Rs 21.84 for buying and Rs 21.93 for selling.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar is Rs 18.06 and the selling rate is Rs 18.14. The Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs 458.27 for buying and Rs 460.23 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 372.41 for buying and Rs 374 for selling, while the Omani rial is being bought at Rs 364.64 and sold at Rs 366.19. The exchange rate for one hundred Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank has noted that these exchange rates may be revised as necessary, and that commercial banks may apply slightly different rates. The most current exchange rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
