Minister Ghising inspects Araniko Highway blocked for two months

KATHMANDU: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Kulman Ghising inspected the Bahrabise–Tatopani section of the Araniko Highway, which has remained blocked for the past two months due to landslides.

The road closure has stranded more than a thousand containers arriving from China. With the festive season of Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath approaching, there is little likelihood of the goods reaching Nepal on time.

Determined to address the situation, Minister Ghising personally reached the site, walking through the muddy and damaged road section to observe the condition firsthand.

Immediately after taking office, Ghising had already directed concerned authorities to expedite efforts to clear the road and restore traffic movement.
