Mahabir Pun assumes office as Education Minister



KATHMANDU: Mahabir Pun has assumed office as Minister for Education, Science, and Technology. Shortly after taking the oath of office and secrecy at the Office of the President today, he reached the ministry at Keshar Mahal and formally took charge.

Upon assuming office, Minister Pun signed a decision to form four advisory committees related to science and technology. According to the ministry, these committees will provide guidance on space technology, nuclear technology, biotechnology, and information technology including artificial intelligence.

The scope of work for these committees has been proposed, while the names of members will be finalized later.
