Supreme Court to hear habeas corpus petitions during Dashain

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court will remain open from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to hear writ petitions for habeas corpus during the Dashain holiday, the court administration announced.

However, the court clarified that hearings will not be held on Ghatasthapana, Bijaya Dashami, Kojagrat Purnima, or Saturdays during the festive period.

The apex court shared the schedule through an official notice, ensuring that urgent cases related to habeas corpus continue to be addressed even amid the national holiday.
