Muglin–Narayangadh road remain closed for two hours today

CHITWAN: The Muglin–Narayangadh road section will be closed for two hours today, from 1 PM to 3 PM, to carry out work aimed at restoring two-way traffic.

The road had been blocked by a landslide near the Tuin Khola bridge in Ichhakamana, Chitwan. Although it was partially reopened for one-way traffic on Sunday evening after initial clearance, another landslide in the same area caused a fresh obstruction overnight. That debris has since been cleared, and the road is currently open in one direction.

According to a notice issued by the Road Division Office, Bharatpur, vehicles will be stopped during the two-hour window today to facilitate the remaining work needed to fully restore two-way traffic.

“The road is currently one-way near the Tuin Khola bridge on the Muglin–Narayangadh section. As per the decision of the District Administration Office, Chitwan, traffic will be halted from 1 PM to 3 PM to complete landslide removal work. Vehicles are requested to stay in their respective lanes during this period,” the notice stated.

The Narayangadh–Muglin road was completely blocked for two days following the initial landslide but became partially operational on Sunday evening. Authorities have confirmed that efforts are underway to remove all remaining debris and resume full two-way movement as soon as possible.
