Education Ministry relocated to Keshar Mahal

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education building inside Singha Durbar has been rendered unusable after protesters set it on fire on the second day of the Gen-Z movement, on September 9.

In the aftermath, the ministry has been temporarily relocated to Keshar Mahal in Lainchaur, from where services are currently being provided. Officials confirmed that the newly appointed Education, Science and Technology Minister will assume office at this temporary location on Monday.

Scientist Mahabir Pun has been recommended for the education portfolio. His swearing-in is expected to take place today, followed by the official handover of responsibilities at the relocated ministry office.
