Muglin-Narayangadh road operates one way

CHITWAN: The Muglin-Narayangadh road, which was closed overnight due to landslides, resumed one-way traffic from 5 am today. Traffic was banned from 9 pm last night to 5 am because landslides in Tuin Khola of Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-6 continued.

The road had been closed since Friday evening after a landslide but reopened for one-way operation late Sunday afternoon. Police Inspector Pratik Singh of the Area Police Office, Muglin, said the landslide was cleared overnight despite another slide occurring at 8 pm on Monday.

Inspector Singh urged drivers to stick to their lanes due to heavy traffic. Passengers stranded on the road for two days have started reaching their destinations.

More than 10,000 vehicles use this road daily. The District Administration Office has advised travelers to use alternative routes until two-way traffic is restored.
