Heavy rain forecast in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim today



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has warned of continued monsoon activity across the country, with an increased likelihood of heavy rainfall in the hilly regions, particularly in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country. Moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly areas, particularly in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in a few areas of the Terai.

There is also a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the Terai and hilly areas of Lumbini province.

According to the Division, the weather will remain generally cloudy in hilly areas tonight and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate rain is expected in some hilly areas, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations in the hilly regions of Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Division has urged the public to remain alert and take necessary precautions, warning of potential landslides and debris flows in mountainous areas. It has also cautioned that water levels in rivers and streams may rise, which could disrupt transportation and daily activities.
