HoR to discuss and pass Finance Mobilization Bill today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to meet today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor. The main agenda is to pass the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, 2082.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat’s tentative agenda, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is slated to present a proposal to discuss the bill before moving it forward for passage.

Ministers from various ministries—including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Ministry of Forest and Environment—will respond to oral questions during the session.

In addition, Kusum Devi Thapa, Chairperson of the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, will present the Committee Report on the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Relating to Land, 2082.

Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ramnath Adhikari, will table a proposal to consider the Nepal Veterinary Council (First Amendment) Bill, 2082.

Similarly, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, will propose that the Information Technology and Cyber Security Bill, 2082 be sent to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion.

Minister for Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chaudhary, will make a similar proposal regarding the National Sports Development (First Amendment) Bill, 2082.
