National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Federal Parliament’s National Assembly is scheduled for today at 1:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

On the agenda, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Bhagwati Neupane is expected to present a proposal to refer the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080—received with a message from the House of Representatives—to the Legislative Management Committee for clause-wise deliberation.

Likewise, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak will present a proposal to send the Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081, also received from the House of Representatives, to the Legislative Management Committee for detailed discussion, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

In addition, the concerned ministers are slated to respond to oral questions related to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
