Kaligandaki Corridor remains closed due to landslides



GULMI: The Kaligandaki Corridor road in Gulmi, which was blocked by landslides last Friday, is still closed to vehicular traffic.

The road has remained completely obstructed for three days following a dry landslide on the Harmichaur-Arbeni section in Gargare, under Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-1.

Although three bulldozers are on standby at the site to clear the debris, recurring landslides have hampered the road reopening efforts, said Kaligandaki Rural Municipality Chair Bed Bahadur Thapa.

He added that the prolonged closure of this vital route has caused significant hardship for local residents.
