Trump says US forces attacked Iranian nuclear facilities

JERUSALEM: U.S. President Donald Trump said that American forces successfully conducted a “very effective strike” targeting three nuclear facilities in Iran, including the Fordow site, according to Reuters.

In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump confirmed that all aircraft had returned safely and praised “our brave American warriors.”

The strikes occurred amid over a week of escalating air clashes between Israel and Iran, resulting in casualties on both sides.

Israel stated the operations aimed to eliminate any possibility of Iran developing nuclear weapons, while Iran maintains that its nuclear activities are solely for peaceful purposes.

Efforts by Western countries to mediate and halt the conflict have not yet yielded results.
