House of Representatives meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today at 11:00 AM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor. Discussions on various aspects of the Appropriation Bill, 2082, will continue during the session.

According to the tentative agenda released by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, today’s meeting will cover budget allocations for several ministries and offices, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens.

Likewise, the meeting will also discuss budget allocations for the Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Urban Development; the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers; the Secretariat of the National Planning Commission; the Office of the President; and the Office of the Vice President. Lawmakers will also present proposals for expenditure cuts.

In addition, Speaker Devraj Ghimire is scheduled to announce changes in the membership of various thematic committees under the House of Representatives.

The Secretariat has stated that he will also read a letter received from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
