Nepal Rastra Bank announces foreign exchange rates for Sunday



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the foreign exchange rates for today (Sunday), reporting that most major foreign currencies, including the US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Australian dollar, and various dinars, have remained stable.

This comes after fluctuations observed on Saturday, when the Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinars declined while the euro, pound, and Australian dollar saw slight increases.

According to NRB, the buying rate for one US dollar today is NPR 138.24, while the selling rate is NPR 138.84. These rates are unchanged from Saturday.

Today, the euro is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 159.20 and a selling rate of NPR 159.89. The pound sterling stands at NPR 186.51 for buying and NPR 187.32 for selling.

Similarly, the Australian dollar is priced at NPR 89.64 for buying and NPR 90.03 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at NPR 451.40 and sold at NPR 453.36, while the Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of NPR 366.54 and a selling rate of NPR 368.13.

NRB has emphasized that these rates are subject to revision at any time based on market conditions. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary slightly, and the most up-to-date figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
