Sunshine, smiles, and playtime magic at Ratna Park (Pics)

KATHMANDU: Ratnapark, located at the heart of the city near Ratna Batika, remains one of the few open public spaces in Kathmandu. It serves as a refreshing green oasis in a city that continues to grow denser every year.

People from all corners of Kathmandu come to relax and unwind in this central park, making it a vibrant gathering place for locals and tourists alike.

Children, families, and groups of friends can often be seen spending quality time here. Whether it’s friends hanging out, parents bringing their children, or young couples strolling around, Ratnapark is a favorite escape for many.

The joyful energy of people laughing, playing, and simply enjoying the fresh air adds to the charm of this green space.

In one corner, children can be seen jumping and playing together, while in another, someone quietly reads a book or works on a laptop. The beautifully maintained garden and blooming flowers provide a visually pleasing and serene environment.

Traditional features like chautaras (stone resting platforms) and pings (swings), reminiscent of village life, add a nostalgic charm to the park and attract visitors of all ages. Ratnapark is gradually evolving into a lively cultural and recreational hub in the heart of Kathmandu.

Khabarhub’s Hulas Shah Thakuri captured some delightful scenes through his lens, showcasing the vibrant life of Ratnapark in a series of engaging photos.
