Byas Municipality declared fully vaccinated



TANAHU: Byas Municipality in Tanahun has been officially declared a fully vaccinated municipality following the successful completion of child immunization across the area.

The declaration was made during a program held on Wednesday, after all children aged 16 to 59 months within the municipality received the required vaccinations.

According to Laxmi Gurung, Public Health Inspector at the Municipality’s Health Branch, 2,828 children between the ages of 16 and 23 months have now been fully vaccinated.

During the event, Gandaki Provincial Assembly member Ashok Kumar Shrestha, District Coordination Committee Chief and Vaccination Coordination Committee Coordinator Shantiraman Wagle, Byas Municipality Mayor Baikuntha Neupane, former Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission Dr. Jagadish Chandra Pokharel, and other dignitaries signed a commitment letter to ensure the continuation and sustainability of full vaccination in the municipality.

Representatives from political parties, health workers, teachers, students, female community health volunteers, mothers’ groups, and women’s networks also pledged their support to uphold and sustain the vaccination campaign.
