Four parliamentary committees holding meetings today



KATHMANDU: Four parliamentary committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to convene today, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

The Finance Committee; Public Accounts Committee; Committee on Development and Economic Affairs; and the Committee on Federalism Enablement and National Concern are all holding meetings.

The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives is meeting at 11:00 a.m. to discuss topics related to the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. Representatives from the National Planning Commission, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Confederation of Nepalese Industries will join the discussion.

At the same time, the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives will meet to address complaints it has received.

Meanwhile, the Committee on Federalism Enablement and National Concern under the National Assembly will meet at 11:30 a.m.

The meeting agenda includes discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2082. Officials from the Ministry of Finance, the National Planning Commission, and the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission are expected to participate.

In addition, the same committee will also deliberate on disaster management efforts, including mitigation, response, and recovery measures.

The meeting will cover preparedness strategies, future action plans, and other related matters.
