Government committed to supporting Thame residents: PM Oli



SOLUKHUMBU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his commitment to support the residents of Thame region, who are facing hardships and suffering due to the adverse impact of climate change.

While extending his best wishes to a conference titled ‘Summitter’s Summit, Dialogue for Climate Justice’ organized in Thame village of the Everest region on the eve of ‘Sagarmatha Sambad’ today, he has expressed his commitment to support the residents of Thame.

Prime Minister Oli expressed his hope that the conclusions drawn by the conference on climate change would make the discussions of ‘Sagarmatha Sambad’ meaningful and result-oriented.

Marking the International Earth Day, Sathsathai Foundation, an organization working in the field of climate justice, has hosted the event in the flood-affected area of Thame with the direct involvement of representatives of all three levels of government.
