Buffalo farmer found burnt to death in Kanchanpur



KANCHANPUR: The charred body of 50-year-old Harikisan Rana was discovered in Shivanagar, Belauri Municipality-10, on Sunday, local authorities confirmed.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Joshi of the District Police Office, Rana’s body was found with severe burns. His motorcycle was also recovered nearby, burnt amidst mustard straw.

Rana, a resident of Beldandi Rural Municipality-3, was known locally for running a dairy business through buffalo farming.

“A police team has reached the site,” DSP Joshi said. “An investigation is underway to determine the cause of his death.”
