Weather to remain clear in most provinces today



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently experiencing a partial effect of westerly winds along with local winds.

According to the Division, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, while the rest of the country remains mainly clear.

The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country this afternoon, with a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in some other parts of the country.

There is also a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the higher hilly and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas, including Koshi and Madhesh provinces.

The rest of the country will stay partly cloudy to mainly clear. There is a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces and a few locations in other hilly regions.
