Socialism thru local practice: Chair Dahal

KATHMANDU: Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has said his party was for launching the exercise of socialism from local level. For it to happen, party would reach its real base, he added.

Chair Dahal said it during an orientation organized by the party’s central office on ‘foundation for socialism at local level’.

All local levels (palikas) led by Maoist Centre should launch the economic and cultural practices that follow socialism.

He shared that the party had decided to practically enforce the ideological debate on socialism from the very local level.

Chair Dahal further argued that the local governments led by his party had done excellent to forward socialism.

He underlined, “It is not time to replicate others, but nurture and promote native practices and developments.”

The Chair admitted that his party’s link to its base was weakened in recent time owing to the cooperation and alliances made beyond party spirit and line. Real class of the party needs restoration, he argued.
