Fog in Terai, snowfall likely in high hills



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Meteorological Forecasting Division reports that western winds are currently influencing Nepal, along with a partial impact of a western low-pressure system in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the division, parts of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing partly cloudy weather, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

However, dense fog and mist have been observed in many areas of the Terai region.

This afternoon, the hilly regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to witness partly to generally cloudy weather, while other areas will remain mostly clear.

Light snowfall is possible in some places in the higher hills and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the hilly areas of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Gandaki provinces are likely to see partly to generally cloudy conditions, with clear skies elsewhere.

Light snowfall may occur in a few places in the higher hills and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in isolated spots in the high hills and mountains of Gandaki province.
